David stumbled into trading accidentally at the age of 18 where the YouTube algorithm saw that he was searching for ‘interest rates’ and ‘stock markets’ while studying economics at A-Level.

He then went on to study economics at university where he found that theory never amounted to reality and was always in contention with lecturers when the markets were telling a different story to what they were teaching.

After studying economics at university, David worked on the sellside whilst trading his own account and in 2019, he established Macrodesiac where he aims to guide retail traders in the world of macroeconomics.

David is now the Growth Director of the U.K. for TradingView, a platform that is democratising trading data for the masses and allowing people to become the best they can be in what is a very tough job.
